Every artist has the opportunity to use their platform as a vehicle to enact social change. Acting has allowed me to influence others in a way I never thought was possible through art.

Art is more than entertainment or escape; it sometimes reflects complex issues that the artist either experiences or observes offstage. Acting is more than a source of entertainment. I embrace the responsibility to be the change that I would like to see in the world. I aspire to represent narratives of people who are marginalized in our society. I want to capture the reality and possibility of these stories. I want to create a space in the acting community where difficult conversations onstage enact and effect change offstage. I don’t want to fit into the confines of what artists should or need to be. I don’t want to be palatable. I want to shock people into a movement.
